FOZUDOKUS without Spanish cards

FOZUDOKUS are made with the Spanish 48-card deck, but if you do not have a Spanish deck, you can also make them with Poker cards or a Coloured numbers cards

POKER CARDS

As the Poker deck has 52 cards and we only need 48, the four QUEENS (Q) are removed

The numerical value of the ACE (A) = is 1

The numerical value of JACK (J) = is 11

The numerical value of the KING (K) = is 12

The method for making and solving a FOZUDOKU with the Poker deck is the same as that used to make a FOZUDOKU with the Spanish deck.

But with the Spanish deck, it looks nicer because it has four suits of four different colours, while the Poker deck, although it also has four suits, it only has two colours.

COLOURED NUMBERS CARD

In many places you do not have easy access to a Spanish deck or a Poker deck

As it is the case with the MYODA primary school in Tanzania, a school that I support and invite you to help maintain this project, which needs help.

(see video links and web pages of the school director Obedy Kuguru)

Especially for the children of the MYODA primary school in Tanzania I have created this deck of coloured numbers.

48 coloured numbers in four groups of 12 suits: Yellow, Blue, Green, Red

With a pair of paper scissors and coloured pencils it is easy to make this deck of coloured numbers and this activity can be part of the craft work in class.

The method for making and solving a FOZUDOKU with the deck of coloured numbers is the same as that used to make a FOZUDOKU with the Spanish deck.

This example of FOZUDOKU with coloured numbers is the same as the FOZUDOKU on the wall in the courtyard at my house in FOZ.
